Operation Deep Freeze (OpDFrz or ODF) is code name for a series of United States missions to Antarctica, beginning with "Operation Deep Freeze I" in 1955–56, followed by "Operation Deep Freeze II", "Operation Deep Freeze III", and so on.
Outer shell of the jacket is made of 100% Cotton, Fur: 60% Modacrylic 40% Wool. Knit: 100% Acrylic making it water and wind resistant. The jacket features a slide fastener and button front with a synthetic fur draw cord hood that is permanently attached for extra protection against the cold. Has two outer breast pockets, two waist pockets and a pocket on the left sleeve. These jackets are typically issued for Alaskan stationed assignments for the US Military.
